At the end of Candy Cane Lane, nestled in the quiet surroundings of the Crestwood community, stands Edmonton's only free-standing voluntary Hospice.

In 2004, this non-profit agency celebrated its 10th Anniversary as a provider of family centered end-of-life care, caregiver support and bereavement services for children, teens, families and adults.

Pilgrims Hospice is committed to helping people diagnosed with a life-threatening illness to live as fully as possible in the time that remains.

It is equally important to help ease the challenges that face their loved ones. As Edmonton's only voluntary free-standing hospice, Pilgrims serves a population approaching one million people in the greater Edmonton area.

Hospice care offers a tranquil alternative to interventions and hospitalization for patients when death is approaching. Patients are encouraged to retain control in every way possible over the decisions that affect their lives. When cure is no longer possible, we offer comfort and compassionate care.
